This link takes you to a short video on Being Deaf in the Philippines. Shot in the one and only Hearing Impaired classroom for the Catbalogan area. Students from 4-27 dressed up for the video in borrowed uniforms. These are truly poor people doing what they can with minimal resources. See how well you can understand their Philippine sign language!
I was there again giving out hearing aids (ebay) as I have done before. Many kids who are hearing impaired can not come to the school due to transportation issues. More on the area and the charity work can bee seen at www.philippinebasicneeds.com
