Anyone had long distance relationship (LDR) here? I never been there before until the new lady friends who im'ed me on instant messages from out of New England. Good chatting with them until I realized they came from out of states when we were talking about our meeting in person some days.
I knew I would not leave my New England where my pre-teen kids lives here until they get their own living in decade ahead.

I was awaring about LDR by the sitaution between soldiers and their wives or girlfriends. No, I don't talking that about lady and I are about getting together soon....I did keep my mind of LDR and not said "what if". I am out of curious to ask any ADers who had been there before..or about your friends and families.

Just in my case, not find any better lady here then I would go look outside of New England about ten years ahead from now. Or being single and be grandchild(ren) here for good...that would not be regert myself for that since here got everything around my living than just ladies.

I was in long distance reltionship with my Sequoias, he and I been work it so hard to being patient, understand, faith in each other and trust each other until I visited him first time last February 11, 2006 and I fall in love with him and right now, Im living with him and being with her than long distance relationship. I hope everything will work out with you and a girl that you likes better. :thumb:

LDR sucks. Ive been thru a couple before and its not for me. I'm seeing a gal now and we are close together and we can cuddle any time we want and etc.

HOWEVER....some ldr do work afterall so just dont dismiss the idea of having a ldr just give it a try and see how it goes....you live only once and life is short. Best of luck :D

I've been in a long distance relationship before. I met my ex-girlfriend here at RIT. Every summer, we were both here in Rochester. The only time we were ever far apart was during our second summer together when I went back to Texas and she went back to ********. Other times were during Christmas Break.

We handled it pretty well. :)

LDR doesn't work because I can't drive, and waste money for greyhound or planes... I had ex fiancee that lived up north, about 3 hours drive, and it was waste of time.... Glad that I got rid of him....

I rather local guys... I also tried out of state LDR, it didn't work because my ex refused to come over here, and I also had no money for traveling...

LDR is not for me, no thanks...

i can go anywhere than nothing but my boyfriend was in faraway because he lived in Wiggins,MS because im adult i can allowed go anywhere.

i told my mom about i can go see him i can ride greyhound bus or plane because both really lots of money but my boyfriend was right.

when i visit KS for my homecoming of my old school and i got flew by plane and reunion my teachers and my classmates.

but i can go see my boyfriend after summer over because he told me he really busy at walmart all of months on summer and i did send messages on yahoo if i would visit him anytimes maybe around December good for me.

mostly people can afford for planes as busniess trips or vacation if you have job or not.

That what I thought of spend money to see someone then later never work out later as waste my money. Unless take turn each other to come over here and there?. If LDR come out well working then that will be priceless?. :)

That what my best friend and his girlfriend gave up each other after 8 months, His 6 hours round trip driving to see his girlfiend and his gal don't want to move to his state until her daughter finish her high school (2 years to go). :sadwave:

Money can buy the trips. Money can't buy love.

If you and guy can afford the length time for next meeting...you guys are able to handle LDR well. Good luck for your future to meet your guy more time. :)

Now, I understood about LDR here. I don't worry about that for long time until my kids done their high school (around 2012). By age of 50 or 60 would able to find widows or divorced ladies better?. :dunno: :)

690miles Blog.

The blog site is about "finding new ways to nurture love at a distance." It is maintained by two love-struck geeks (Chris and Steph) who happen to live 690 miles apart.

I don't believe in Internet relationships... IMO, it is a wasting of money... But, if one says it works for them - then kudos to them...

My mother and stepfather were in a 100-mile long-distance relationship (they were already married) for several years. My stepfather had moved back to Atlanta for a better opportunity (job) while my mother still lived in Tennessee. She had decided that she was ready for a big change to join her husband in Atlanta. It wasn't easy for them but they made it OK...

Long Distance Realtionship doesn't work for me. I never been in "love" with someone just yet. Off and On dating around here, nothing special going on.. But I wish you best of luck between the two of you...

I have been on LDR few times and mostly it does not work. So I will NOT do it again. Not ever again! I met my bf online and met. I moved because I got no place to live. Long story. Regret? Nope! I am glad I did moved out of Los Angeles because of cost of living is INSANE! GAWD! I wouldn't mind to visit but live in LA, no.

Soo some couples does make it work just fine...to me no.
