Its been a long time since Iv been on holiday, any precautions i need to take at the airport?
 
Make sure you have passport with you at all times and also get some change of money from U.S.A fund to peso money (Spanish) so that you won't get stuck not be able to get food or taxi or whatever you need to pay for like hotels when you landed in Spain. :dunno:
 
it is euro now. I cannot remember if i am allowed to go through airport security metal detectors
 
I am sure you will have to go through metal detectors because of safety for the passengers who come and go. This is a precaution. You can still wear your hearing aids or CIs if you have to go through the metal detectors. It won't affect your hearing aids at all. You will be fine, and you will get though breezing with no problem. Just have fun at your trip. Ole, Deafteen90!!!!
 
its okay, i found my ci card and letter, it says that i should not go through

CI letter? only thing i got monday was a small card with my name and CI implant info on it. they didnt say anything about a letter?
 
i got a letter for airports stating i have a cochlear implant and it explains why i need a ci and what the ci does n explains why i cannot go through, its quite good really

my card has my name ci implant centre, hospital, my address and ci info on the back

thanks. card sounds the same as mine. just had the left ear implanted monday ive got alot to learn.
 
Get card in spanish too.... (the ci centre should have all languages)

(i took dri box with me on my holidays)

the place im going to the people can mainly speak english so ill be ok
