Actually I think unemployed deaf people, especially those sitting at home living off government funds are selfish when they have the money to buy cigarettes, drugs and drinks. And don't bother to help with the bills.
Anyway back to topic...
Well, it is NOT normal for deaf people being on-line and playing with their pagers/handheld 24/7. I've never seen the majority of hearing people being on their mobile phones 24/7 - yes they do talk a lot on their mobile phones - a lot faster than deaf people could talk on TTY/TDD machines.
I think deaf people (not all) should learn to get out in the real world and look for work and not sit at home playing on the computers or pagers/handheld all the times.
