Cutting the reimbursement rates is not violating ADA.Sorenson communications is just screaming that Federal Communications Commission is suggesting an 8 percent rate reduction in Video Relay Service (VRS) fees paid by the National Exchange Carriers Association. I find it very amusing that they're the only VRS company to scream about it. Some VRS companies have made major cost cutting adjustments to their operations. And there are rumors that another will outsource it offshore. The VRS companies get approximately $420 an hour for their services and 3 years ago they used to get as much as $1022 per hour. The VRS industry is no longer the golden goose it used to be. Suggestions among those discussed at the deaf forums include VRS users pay for the services. Why is Sorenson screaming? Why dont they make adjustments to their operations to cope with the reductions like the other VRS companies are doing.Richard
