Anyone who wants to go to NYC or Long Island in Jan or Feb 2014 for the AD reunion?

The reason is that I said long island becuase long island is more convenient to park, hotel or restaurants than NYC. BUT i know some of you who want to be in NYC, just stay in LONG ISLAND for the ad reunion. but on your own, you guys can visit NYC.

how does it sound to you?

I know that i am not hosting but i want to see some of old ADers that I want to hang out with, again!!!! :D

ME ME ME too! let's making it happen sometimes in jan or feb to see if most of us can??

Actually, I think Long island is easy? better be in Nassau so those aders can visit NYC by taking long island RR.

My brother lives one hour from Gallaudet. He is in Maryland. Depending on location and date, I would be interested in trying to meet some Alldeaf members. I've met only one of them in person. I would love to meet more of them in person.

We have tentative plans to go to Gallaudet's 150th .......in July

That could be fun! For those who think parking is hard you can always park at a train station then ride one stop in. We do that for events parking at Poukipsee (I'll never know how to spell that town!)

Id love to meet and greet everyone, but don't think I will be able to travel until next year being I am putting my all into getting this house done.

Another idea... What about meeting somewhere not in NYC but just a little bit north (cheaper, easier to park, and more in between NYC and Rochester so more ADers were closer)... There are mountains for skiing in the Catskills?

I prefer no skiing for AD reunions because we all wanna chat each other with relaxing time. Last time we had AD reunion was in NYC. We had blast times. I thought about long island or DC or Maryland which are more convenient and have more restaurants. Rochester does not have many restuarant. sorry. :D

Wondering...if some ADers who go don't know ASL, will you have to bring paper and pen to communicate with them?

That is a good question but last time we had AD reunion. No one brings pen and paper to communicate but i remember couples of people who were learning ASL though. Thank god. :D

That would be nice if Reba will be there to interpret (for free).
