Attack at ohio state university

I was getting new tires and saw this on the store TV but the sound was too low for me to hear it, no one in the waiting room seem to be shocked or upset about it . They showed no reaction to the news , this was as upsetting to see that people seem to be indifference to this . I am glad the suspect was killed ! How horrible that this keep happening .
:(

Unfortunately it will continue to happen. USA needs to wake up and tool up.

I know this will keep on happening , people really needs to be armed when going out in public today. It would be a lot safer know there was at least one good guy with a gun around .

I think we should find out the make and model of his car and ban it. Then we should go after the manufacturer and sue them for making such a dangerous vehicle. I propose whomever wants to buy a car from that company going forward, should be required to take a lengthy exam, driving test, and a background check to prove they don't have any emotional baggage that could put people at risk.....

I'm fairly certain that Yahoo reported "shots fired." Maybe a knee jerk response from the media these days?

I did read yahoo reported shoot fired, too. There are reports state 'actively shooter'. Another reason to not trust the media. What's up with refugees and their knife fetishes? In Germany, a Syrian refugee went whack and hacked a pregnant woman to death with a machete in the public.

If everyone starts carrying then we'll start having problems with mentally ill people overreacting. Can you just picture going to wal-mart and getting shot just by looking at a person wrong? So we'll have to then hire official gun carriers that we know that are mentally sound. And we'll put them in cars where they can patrol and then give them official badges so we know they're the good guys. Oh wait a minute here... did I just describe the police?

Definitely "hurried reporting" . I saw somewhere in my newsfeed that the shots fired were from the police only- in killing the suspect.

Update:

Somali student behind car, knife attack at Ohio State University that injured 11

A Somali-born student at Ohio State University injured 11 people, one of them critically, on Monday when he attacked a crowd of pedestrians on campus in an incident one lawmaker said "bears all the hallmarks of a terror attack."

Authorities said Abdul Razak Ali Artan, 18, plowed a small gray Honda into the crowd outside an engineering classroom building just before 10 a.m. ET. Artan then got out of the vehicle and attacked people with a butcher knife before he was shot and killed by a campus police officer.

The officer, identified as Alan Horujko, 28, happened to be in the area because of a reported gas leak. Ohio State University Police Chief Craig Stone said Horujko arrived on the scene and shot Artan in under a minute.

Most of the injured were hurt by the car, and at least two were stabbed, officials said. One had a fractured skull...

I saw things about it from enough different TV reports that I can't site a source. But, I got the impression that the "active shooter" report came out of the "canned" alert that went out to those on campus to "shelter in place" when this first started.

The "hurried reporting" probably came because of news outlets picking up on that.
