I need help translating "The Fox and the Goat" into ASL Gloss. It would be amazing if someone could help with it. The story is attached below. Thanks:)

A Fox fell into a well, and though it was not very deep, he found that he could not get out again. After he had been in the well a long time, a thirsty Goat came by. The Goat thought the Fox had gone down to drink, and so he asked if the water was good.

"The finest in the whole country," said the crafty Fox, "jump in and try it. There is more than enough for both of us."

The thirsty Goat immediately jumped in and began to drink. The Fox just as quickly jumped on the Goat's back and leaped from the tip of the Goat's horns out of the well.

The foolish Goat now saw what a plight he had got into, and begged the Fox to help him out. But the Fox was already on his way to the woods.

"If you had as much sense as you have beard, old fellow," he said as he ran, "you would have been more cautious about finding a way to get out again before you jumped in."

Look before you leap.

Nothing like waiting until last minute, and then expecting someone to "help" with the entire project. :D

I want someone to have the guts to be honest and just say:

"I want someone to do my homework for me"

N.B. Students if you want help with your homework - take a video of the work you've already DONE on the project and then ask if we can offer suggestions. If we see you've put in a lot of thought and work already and honestly want some help *completing* it (or you're stuck on something specific) THEN we'll be much more willing to help.

I've seen that line on programming/coding forums and groups.

"Please do my homework! It's too hard!"

If the OP wanted a tiny bit of help glossing parts of the story that they didn't understand how to do, I'd understand but not the whole dang story...

Could not agree more. Post up a video of what you have done so far and ask for where you need help. Also tell us what level ASL class this is.
That said, Start by setting the scene detailing the scenery, location of the well (this is where you describe it not being too deep) ASL you would also elaborate on the characters. Assuming this is from a children's picture book, describe the crafty fox and the gullible goat, their looks, colors etc. If no pictures to guide you, then you have freedom to make it up. It can be a perople fox and a pink goat if you want.
