very cool

on a more practical level - this can be easily done with same technique used in making Avatar movie. I'm assuming his son made it by hands in computer. painstakingly way but fundamental basic.

Even though I don't know ASL (I am BSL user). Signing looks clear, face expression looks clear too, I seen some avatar with jumbled face expression, that not quite clear. That is impressive.
