I'm hard of hearing and my best friend is hearing with little knowledge of ASL. We both work at the same job and today he asked me a very important question. How do you provide the best service for a deaf/hoh customer? I showed him a few basic signs like thank you, help, eat; as well as telling him to write down what he wanted to ask or say and to make sure he faces the customer in case they're reading his lips. But I was wondering any other suggestions or things i might have missed? Thanks.
