Asexual is defined as a person who is not sexually attracted to either sex. You could also look here for a more in-depth explanation. Are there any asexuals around here? My sexuality is on the edge of asexual...

PuyoPiyo, masturbation has nothing to do with sexual attraction. Some asexuals enjoy masturbation, others do not. As for me, I sometimes masturbate, but I don't think about men or women, not even my boyfriend. If I even try to fantasize during masturbation, I just find it distracting.

I see people's different views. I actually enjoy my masturbation even I fantasized while masturbation..

It could be suck to be a asexuality.
 
The only thing that sucks for asexuals is that it's hard to find someone to be in a relationship with who doesn't want sex. I suppose it would also be annoying to live in a sex-saturated society.
 
I gotta say..........I think true asexuals are VERY rare. They're probaly even rarer then true transexuals. It just boggles the mind.........how can you not enjoy making love?
Were most asexuals sexually abused? Were they told in childhood that sex was sinful "dirty" etc?
 
They weren't abused or told it was dirty, anymore often than anyone else. And how can you not enjoy making love? Well, judging from your SN, you're a lesbian.... how would you like having sex with a man? It would probably be boring since you wouldn't be turned on. It's the same for asexuals, except it applies to both sexes. There are, however, some asexuals who do enjoy sex, but are just not sexually attracted to anyone.

haha, its not rare! and theres MANY asexuals out there, we do not say that we're asexuals as we do understand that people do not understand that in a society that sex is so deeply embedded.

some people gotta abstain from sex due to health reasons and if its due to trauma then that should not be labeled as asexual... (from my understanding)


Hey, think about the bar of chocolate, some people are just happy with a nibble, some are just happy with half of it and some gotta have the whole thing and theres the rest that's just plain happy to have none

I know few nymphos, so therefore why can't there be ones that doesnt want it?

Kai Onca, I said TRUE asexuality. Maybe most asexuals out there simply haven't found THE ONE that really turns them on, and that's why they think they are asexual. Let me explain. Our society seems to really commonlize sex. It insistutites that if you're not all horny and sexee all the time, there's gotta be something wrong with you.
I can kind of understand what asexuals are going through. Until I was about fifteen and 1.2 I didn't understand WHAT the fuss was about sex. Then I had sex with someone I really loved, and suddenly.........BOOM! After that incident, I had sex with someone I didn't really care for and it was just so fucking boring. Maybe most asexuals are like that! They simply have bought into the "you gotta be sexee for everyone 24/7" meme..........
 
Ok, here's my understanding of Asexual.

Asexual are the people who are unattracted by sex, self-masturbation, anything! Just person and person that's it.

Am I correct?

I know a few people who are asexual as well. It's not something that bothers me. I respect them. If they don't want sex, that's fine with me. It's not like sex is a required necessity in life when we're not trying to get pregnant or are married.

there is no medical/psychological issues in play here with asexuals enuff said

there are asexuals that have enjoyed sex yet they do NOT desire it...

how did you know your orientation? it just clicked didn't it? same with asexuals ... we just know ourselves and yes throughout peoples lifetimes some will switch orientation just like homosexuals and heterosexuals

That's ok. I don't need more information; I'm an inactive member of AVEN! I used to be quite active, but I don't really go there anymore.
 
Interesting vocabulary... I heard of that word before but never really understand it.

I suspect one of my close friends is asexual since she is seen like she is not really crazy about boys or girls... She is very focus on her school, goals and be successful in her career. That is wonderful thing for her to focus on her goals. I admire her for that. Many guys find her very extremely attractive but she has ZERO interest in them at all. I personally asked her if she lusts for anyone? She said nope not at all. Few times when we hang out, we talk about boys... One time I saw one really cute guy... I said OMG! Check this cute guy out! She looked at him and scoff at him. My few friends and I dropped ours jaws and said to her, are you kidding us?!?!? She said he is just guy, what's big deal about that? I decided to test her... Hey look at hot chick, check her out! She looked at me like I am dork. I find it very interesting...
