It is wonderful that students have Deaf Schools where they can develop and have a sense of belonging and community.
It is sad that so many do not want to return home because of the feelings of alienation and not fitting in if their home is hearing.
Many adult deaf I know feel the same way the students in the article do.
The recent PBS channel offering "Through Deaf Eyes" was very well done. I especially liked the candid comments of those interviewed.
