Hello everyone.

I currently work at American River College (ARC) in Sacramento, California as a tutor for English with hearing, hard-of-hearing, and deaf students. I myself am profoundly deaf and am fluent in American Sign Language.

If you are a deaf or hard-of-hearing student at ARC and would like to improve your English, you can contact the Tutorial Center and ask for an English tutor who knows sign language. If you do not make that specific request, the Tutorial Center will place you with a hearing English tutor instead.

Yes, it is. Unfortunately it is limited to deaf/hard of hearing individuals who attend American River College only. It would be fantastic to have free English tutoring at all educational levels for the deaf/hard of hearing individuals, accessible from anywhere.
