Some people call me happy-go-lucky, because I'm always so friendly and heartwarming. I am rarely critical of anyone, preferring to give needed advice, and let them make the best decision for themselves.

Thats good.

What do you see in yourself that you do look at the positive ways or negative ways?

I'll give you a little of both.

For positive-- if the weather is bad, I see it as a way to let me rest my sore and/or creaky body parts with minimal complaints, cause it lets me stay inside.

Also, I like to see the positives of everybody, no matter who they are, or where they're from. I'm open-minded, and can see the good in people, with the exception of a few cases (Not on here-- real life). That's how I'm known to be a cheerful person.

For negative-- If I'm in a bad, bad mood (Which rarely happens) I can snap like an alligator. People know if I'm doing that it's best to stay at arm's length.

Ol' lady...but a kid at heart...and I try to stay positive at all times.

Agree that it isn't easy but its your responsible to make yoruself happy. Its a choice.

Madam FF, can we make up a new rule that if thou asks a question or does a poll, you must also answer it? I'd like to know what you do and with you, I've got a good guess.

* * *
My answers seem to almost always require clarification. I am a realist. I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic. Let me sniffle up some simple examples:

1. We had a lovely organic store here called GreenLife when we first moved here. Within a matter of months Whole Foods (WF) bought them out. People in the newpaper were thrilled about WF. Since my partner and I witnessed the destruction of WF takeovers in both NY & NJ, we warned them of what would occur. Did anyone listen to us? Heck no. Did what we say come to fruition - realistically 90% did (shoot me, we were off by a little because of how Asheville is). They changed dramatically and organic foods were replace with foods I eat :) - non organic. People saw it somewhat and WF got on board and started minor local buying of food. The end of this fairy tale is the 49% owner in the original GreenLife and wife just opened Katuahs due to the non-organic wares pushed in various stores. It is old GL reincarnate and we are living more happily for now.
2. After the blue collar jobs were siphoned overseas, another wave was about to hit but overseas and in the states. One company I had quit told the workers in a division if they want to keep their jobs, go to Brazil where their work was being sent. Nice and it happened - it was not rumor. I knew my job and other white collar jobs were going to be hit - saw the trends. NAFTA-GANTT was in full swing and we were in trouble.

Pessimist, no I am not. Realist and most of the time as cautious as I can be where it matters, yup, absolutely I am. I'm not the smartest kid on the block but I do see patterns. I remember critical newspaper articles written years ago. They did not lie but the people who were involved in the exposes (envision a slant over the last e) were ignored. Two major events happened because the SEC ignored the different issues.

You're right-- it is a choice, and I choose to be happy. No point in being sad or mad. Heck, I can't stay mad forever now, can I? I have too much happiness to stay mad.

Most of my friends think im a super positive person but on the inside im all going for the worst case scenario.

I would prefer bright side. It takes 4 men to change a light bulb. I would love to find some help changing the light bulb. Therefore I need to be a positive person.

I tend to be a combination of seeing the potential of things with dark humor. :D

I thought I was the positive person and I believe that I can do anything for myself without having telling me that I am wrong. Over the years, my family and possibly my in-laws thought that I don't make the decisions correctly or not be able to take care of myself. The way they said things to me are pretty negative and I feel and get angry at them for thinking I am dumb or not doing the right things. I do things differently than they are. That is me. I don't like being critisizied (spelling) of how I do things the way I want to do my own way. My sister get upset and so is her husband, too. They both thought all wrong of what I am doing. **sigh** :(

Bruce Lee in a nutshell said it best

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.”

works for me Bruce.....

I try to look at the bright side, but sometimes I can't help to be pessimistic.

Like, will I win 6/49? lol, yeah, right! :)

But generally I have sunny disposition, and keep buying the tickets! :)
