are Woody wagons that rare and expensive in USA?

like the 1953 Buick Woody ?

Impala (did they made these)?

just curious cuz in NZ there's a Buick 1953 with asking price of $143,000 , yes thats right ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE THOUSANDS DOLLARS

ah not 143 but 145 lol (feel stink) but its restored......and real wood... not natice in New Zealand so sourcing that might be consuming but i still dont think 145K , maybe more like 80K.....over priced...overhyped...

but interesting though...
for the money id get a Ferrari 308 ....

They are still around. I saw one in a parking lot the other day. The expensive one must be rebuilt and restored.

Ford woody station wagons are hot and sexy, often seen them on PCH in Surf City (Huntington Beach, Calif), obviously surfers.....Top dollars for those woody station wagons.

My dad used to have Woody Ford station wagon back in 70's It can ACTUALLY can hold 16 people (4 seats front, 4 seat behind, 4 seats mid section then 4 seats rear section, All seats are Bench type except rear) because the rear part of station wagon where "trunk" are have flip up side seats holds 2 person each (it's actually for kids to sit in, if Adults sits in, it won't be comfortable!! because the sub-floor is shallow and their legs would be like sitting on little tricycle :rofl: ).. It have air shocks on rear My dad did inflate it then deflate it to tease us while we were napping while filling up gas. Ford stationwagon does famous "butt wiggling" every time when rear wheels go over the bump or curb slowly.:rofl: My dad always drive 95mph on highway when it was 75mph and it makes fast "clicktey click" noise and bouncing up and down a little. The Woody Ford station wagon have some plastic trims that look like light colored wood and rest are laminated fake wood all around it.

wow, cool, now i wish i have a $145,000 (was not 143,000 <<< MY mistake ) lol just look in that trademe link i provided...
 
different thing (ferrari 308 Magnum pi one), but yeah after reading what you locals in USA had say about it, i am fascinated and really think they are cool too, it REALLY does have this 'classic beach look'...one band springs to mind. Beach boys....

My 63 Nova wagon have 2 long bench seats and can hold 6 people, somehow I noticed the vast empty space under the cargo floor at the rear (next to the rear bumper), figured out why the gas tank mounted under the cargo floor, was too closest to the rear axle housing, left the rear space open, guessed it was for safety reason but I found out the open space under the cargo floor, was for a 3rd seat (opinion). Though....

How about Dino 246? (246 stands for 2.4L 6 cylinders,V6 DOHC). I like it. Beautiful body and sweet exhaust sound. Easy drive

i like it, the style is a WINNER. only downer is gotta avoid replicas as they have sloppy bumper's angles...

right, but, how am I gonna start thinking about how to save for that, its like 3 times for expensive, (or valuable) than a 308...

nice car though!....i agree its more 'classic' and have more 'beauty' than a 308...

but think id give it a miss...

a 308 is more within grasp...

even a 355 is not that far off from 308.....ferraris are not like normal cars they go up and up and up....
