Are female kittens more playful than male kittens?

What are the differance between male & female kittens? I heard males can be playful but they can get lazy.But females will go totaly nuts and will be quite entertaining.So,are female kittens more playful than male kittens?
 
I have heard that male cats tend to spray everywhere. I advise you to get a male kitten. I swore it will be fun to clean!:lol:
 
That same goes for rats, too. Female rats are more active while male rats generally are calm.

So, its possible that male and female cats are like that on average.
 
having raised both male and female kittens, yes, Female tend to be the more playful of the two. males tend to spray everywhere, You do not want to know how bad it can get.
 
just have male cats get neutered before starts spraying, easy solution to problem.
 
my cat oreo is PLAYFUL.. always get in everything.. I touched him and he would just JUMP in the air then backflipped .. it was SO funny... ha.. he love to play with the toys and attack anything that MOVE... hehe....

i have female cats and they do play.. i think its not just female.. but BOTH female and male.. its in their nature to play... :)

oh yeah male DO spray! my cat oreo havent done that yet and I NEED to get him fixed before he DO it... yikes! lol

Yes, they do... if they aren't neutered. The same goes for female cats if they aren't spayed.

That's why it's important to spay and neuter your cats.

My roommate had a female cat that wasn't spayed. She was constantly in heat and spraying all over the place, even on people... ugh!

She finally got it spayed and life has been better since. ;)
 
I think it really depends on the cat. Every cat is different... depending on the owners, the environment, etc.

I have a friend who has a male cat who is very playful and another friend with a male cat who is lazy and mean.

I also have another friend who had a female cat that was playful and another friend with a female cat that just likes to stay in the closet and is mean.

:D My cat is possessed. She's fat and MEAN, I swear !! She bites me all the time, even though I keep telling her "don't bite the hand that feeds you." She doesn't listen. :eek3: But here is a picture of her:

If she wants to play then I'll play with her with her toys. If she wants sleep then fine!! She was very active when she was kitten. Now she's 13 yrs old and decided what she wants.
 
from my experiences for being cat owner, my strong opinion indicates that female cats are more playful than male ones.

Doug, you are not only one who had a female cat that was possessed by the devil...but I also had one before too.

I swore she was the mastermind to make plans of killing me while I was asleep very every night. I once hugged her to make sure she knew I still love her no matter what if she's totally sinned! I almost regretted for doing that, because she nearly killed me with her sharpest claws like she was in master ninja training! Enough said.
 
Interesting thread... I have 4 female cats... I have 2 male kitten for long 13 weeks before give them away to a farmer. I did not pay my attention how compare between male and female cats are.

As far as I know that male cats are busy to look for female cats and female cats are busy to catch and play with mice until they are killed then eat them.
 
It would be depend on each cats. Some can be mean, some can be so shy, some can be so playful and friendly. My grandma's old cat, CC, she was SO mean and hiss. She passed away and she got two other kitties...more friendlier than CC was! All my old cats were friendly none were mean.
 
just dont use your hand to play with the cats.. they perceive as danger thats why they attack your hand.. its better to play with toys instead.. so they wont attack you..

it all depend on if you play with cats and how often you play with them.. i have over 20 cats.. many of them play as i love to give them attention and play with them... so it depend on IF you play with them or not.. if u dont play with them then they wont PLAY... :)

same as my kitten which is 4 months old that he keep bite me and I said No bite then he went knew it when I said no and he got back off not bite again but still bite :) lol
