Its interesting to see how similar this dance is to Irish Folk Dance. Not many people outside of the Appalachians have ever seen this - I grew up with it.
 
Just loved it!...Used to "Clog" too...way back in those days....that old black & white TV....the boys pointed shoes....the girls wearing crinlins under their skirt & dresses....and noticing how nice the kids were dressed back in those days!.....Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar & Mouth Harp was good music too.

Main source of entertainment (in those days too)....Didn't see any "overweight" kids either...Big change from "way back when" until "today's entertainment"....

Yep, I was a skinny kid growing up too. The kids these days ( muttering under breath) would likely pass out after a minute or two and start going through severe play station withdrawal symptoms.
