I read news that MS agree to pay $170 millions to Netscape that currently own by AOL. Also, MS will give 7 years license free to get MSIE work with AOL's broswer.

That's funny, when I see that MS is try to campagin between AOL and MSN.

Microsoft dont want to lose their famous company partner or something like that. Bill Gates tried to cover their fee for courts or lose their company like ATT in past time

Oh, okay. ;)

That's because Netscape is owned by AOL. If AOL didn't purchase Netscape...MS would still pay Netscape...regardless of if AOL owned it or not.

AOL finally will have a chance in this market but it'll depend on what AOL would aim to do with netscape..for example, using ads all over netscape like what happened to ICQ. AOL lied when they said that they would not change the way ICQ is. Now that's why there's a sudden drop in usage of ICQ because of those ads.
