Any AD members from sunny Carolina? Or maybe just know of events going on? I'm in the Midlands and I'd sure like to get together with some people.

Hi, I'm located in Upstate SC. I know of another member named Reba who is also from the area.

Sweet. I know a couple of people on USC-Cola campus, but the vast majority of my friends are hearing. I'd love to get to know more Deaf folks, other than the ones that help out in my ASL class.

It seems like there are more deaf events going on in the Charleston area and Upstate around Florence and outside of Charlotte and probably Augusta-Aiken. You might want to check out SCADServices.org for events in and around Columbia.

I'm sorry about USC's loss to UGA yesterday. I think USC did pretty well keeping UGA from scoring big.

Yeah, events far from me are what I've been seeing. Bummer. Thanks, though. Maybe I'll find something soon...I know there's a silent dinner on Clemson Rd this weekend.

 Ugh, the game was crazy. I was at work, but I caught glimpses of it. We should have won. Saturday, though, Wofford is dust.

My parents live in South Carolina. I do visit South Carolina from time to time. My mom works at the doctor's office and have met one deaf client, so far that I know of. My mom do not know how to sign, maybe tidy little bit. I went to Broadway (I think that is the name of a mall in Myrtle Beach) and a few cashiers there had told me they have met few deaf people there and knew a little sign. It is really great to know some in South Carolina knows some sign language. I will tell my mother to learn how sign-I think she will.

I would love to move to South Carolina one day and this is where I will retire...:D
