My goal is to be efficient with sign language by Christmas 09'. Currently, I know about 1000 signs. It would be so great to meet with a group to practice on a weekly basis. Does anyone know of such groups in Nashville, TN? I posted a different thread and have the information for the Senior Groups and Coffee Group. But, wondering if there are additional folks or groups out there that would be willing to meet weekly or bi-weekly to practice with a beginner.

Thanks again!

You could try contacting Gate Communications in Williamson County (Franklin). I would still advise that you contact League of Deaf and Hard of Hearing - they have plenty of info/resources as it is operated by the State of Tennessee. :) They have branch offices in Nashville/Davidson, Montgomery (Clarksville), Rutherford (Murfreesboro), and Williamson (Franklin and Fairview).

Silent Dinners would be good place to ask around what you are looking for. What I have found from this source:
