Any Basset Hound Lovers or owners here?

We are getting two 9 week old basset hound puppies tomorrow. :)
 
NO!!! I envy you!!... Pictures is a must!!!!! Lucky you! Still can't find a rescue one!! :-(
 
Great dogs! I'm a dog lover but my dogs are mutt shelter rescues. I posted pics on the pit bull thread because I have a pug/bull terrier mix (and a border collie mix). Just good family pets.
 
There are a lot of bassets that are available for adoption at the Ontario Basset Rescue. We went to a benefit for it in May. And yes, I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to! I don't have any of the pictures on my computer, but I did upload my pictures onto Facebook from the desktop computer (which is my parents'). I can save my favourites from Facebook onto my computer and put it on here. Can someone please tell me (maybe through PM) how to put pictures directly into my post without having to "attach" them.
 
There is this elderly man in our n'hood, that has 2 of 'em...he walks them daily and they are the sweetest dogs!....Slow & clumsy! But ideal for elderly as they walk slow also.....These dogs are "his babies".
 
OK I know that these are attatched, but they are not from the Internet. I had to save them onto my computer and attatch them.

Picture number two: This one is Barney. He is in his natural position. :lol:

Picture number three: This is Buford. He's the only one that will attempt going up the stairs.

Picture number four: They love play fighting, but in this picture they were playing with the rope toy. I really like this picture too.

Picture number five: This is them after they fell asleep on their little beds. :)

This is mine, he was 10 when we had him put down. i miss hm alot.

I once saw a dog that was part Basset Hound and Germain Sheperd! The body was of a Basset Hound and the head was Germain Sheperd! The dog was so funny looking ! I just did not understand how the two breeds where able to mate!

Awwww. My old basset we had to put down in September of 2007. She was 16.9 years old. Just about hit the 17 years mark!

I have seen that mix of breed before too! They had the body and ears of the basset. It is strange, isn't it?
