hello, i want to know where can i find more information about this issue? i need find a way have those discussions for my youth camp that i'm going to this summer... please help out. it should be interesting but same time i want to give them good discussions and something for them to learn in life for themselves someday when they get older and knowing how to prepare themselves better as well. because i did often get frustrating because i didn't know most things. so i want and need find better for them knowing how to stand up for themselves and have those pride in them. thank you!

a good read is paddy ladds understanding Deaf culture...its academic. but you can use it to sift through for valuable information.
it handles what your asking and much more...

it gives you allot down the centuries the kids would like to know..

for the crowd, you will just have to re phrase the info to be better understood

harlane lanes the mask of benevolence also i strongly recommend. again you will have to re phrase it for the crowd..

we Deaf should have what your looking for in multiple formats and pamphlets for better distribution in our own hands as we organize.
