To me it sounds as if deafnes does not need to be a limitation... and that with CI she expect to go even further...

She is also late deafened so I am sure the CI was great for her. She works with famous people in Florida. My friend used to date her son and she would tell me stories about meeting celebrities who came in to shop at her store. Just thought it was interesting that she has a deaf son and then she became deaf herself later.

Very intersting. And being adventitiously deafened definately is a plus. I have sometimes thought that it would certainly be a turn of events if I were to loose my hearing later in life having raised a deaf child. Don't worry too much about it though.....he prepared me for it should it happen!
