Here's another caution against accidentally switching BICI processors. Ever since I switched mine by accident, I've noticed an apparent distortion of sound (everything sounds as if I am underwater) with my right Freedom processor. This distortion has been causing dizziness, pain and some vibratory sensations when I hear certain frequencies. I've already contacted my audi to request a new controller. For now, I'm using my 3G as a backup.

I don't think you need a new controller (processor?) but need to wipe the map from the processor's memory and re-upload the map to the processor. hmm?

You may be right, but what leads me to believe that there may be a problem with the controller is the fact that sound changes when I turn it on and off. For a few minutes, sound will be crystal clear, but then becomes severely distorted. I've already contacted my audi to ask if the problem lies with the controller or a map that has been accidentally wiped out. By the way, the controller is the bottom half of the Freedom processor while the top half is the part which stores the map.
