For myself, sometimes it's better just to avoid people who is very annoying but if the situation is unavoidable then it's good to have back up plans. Maybe you can actually have conversations but very limited one and have one person (very trustworthy buddy or something) you can send a hint and he/she can "rescue" you. Or if that person will not leave you alone, then take that person out somewhere privately and explain that you would like to continue to hang out but you feel that it has gotten too much for u. Make sure you use the I, me word a lot so that person will not feel like you are attacking them but that you are just trying to share your feeling. That is just a couple of suggestions. It may or may not work.
