Yes, it's sometimes impossible. Sometimes, you gotta try various things. Last week, I was at a huge party. This guy started chatting with me and would not shut up. From time to time, I would glance over his shoulder looking for someone I know. When I see someone, I'd act like that person wanted me so I'd say... "Oh, excuse me... someone's looking for me. I gotta go." He'd then shut up and calmly let me go... as I go running to my other friend. That's just an example of many situations. Heh!
