If you consider an interpreter my artificial voice!

You mean like an artificial larynx device for amputees who have had their larynx removed?
Those are for people with throat problems. Deaf people don't have problems with their throats.

Now this thread makes me think of something.

If deaf people who don't like speaking, aren't good at speaking or don't like people who make fun of their deaf accent used this, what would happen?

All their voices might be like Darth Vader but no would would think twice. ST's would barely be needed. I've had a client who was a boss of a place that used to use one of these "artificial voice" devices. He was a cool guy..

the device that i'm going to do is contain two gloves connected to tiny box , the gloves contain sensors the can convert the ASL to data then play sound compatible the sign
this device has a limited words , it's based on applications and locations ( for example the deaf can use only when he is in the taxi , or during travel ,asking for bath room .....)
did you think it's a good idea
regards
Marwan

No. Everyone learns ASL and uses it as their primary language in this world. Now that's a better idea.

Ps. It'd be easier to just voice or write it down than using a tiny box with gloves connected.

I think some hearing people need an artificial brain ! I can't believe some of the questions people ask!

Marwan, sounds more complicated than it's worth.

A voice converter device only works for one person: the hearing person who doesn't understand sign language.
Deaf people would probably have little or no point using it with each other if they can't hear the words being spoken.

Can you imagine if there was a bug in the system? The deaf person thinks he's saying one thing and the device is saying something else. :giggle:

Deaf person signing: Name me Kim. You?
Translated Bug: I kill you! What's your name?

Deaf person signing: I am deaf.
Translated Bug: I'm Death!

What if the deaf person had an enemy? How many different ways could the enemy mess up the deaf person's voice to text db? :hmm:

Deaf person (at bank): Please deposit this.
Corrupted DB: Give me all your money now!

Deaf person at work: Good morning boss!
Corrupted DB: Who died and made you president?

Deaf person at home: Honey, I love you.
Corrupted DB: You wouldn't believe who I f*cked yesterday. And he was so much better than you!

Why don't you just put all of your insulting questions in one post and get it over with?

Rofl, I had to share this one. I asked my dad to send me a voice message to my phone to use at work. It was supposed to say "please open the gate I have a delivery" but instead my dad left "open the f#%king gate, package for you" and all this time I never understood why the customers looked at me angry upon delivery. What a prank!
