Try that with X10! You have to wait about 833 milliseconds for the lights to come on. X10's protocol is dated 1975, and you can only have up to 256 logical devices, so if you live in an apartment with someone who has X10, you might be sharing the same light address(es) with someone else...
I'm getting the controller and light module shipped to my mom's apartment to try them out...can't wait!
