What is with this ppl putting themselves on this site and looking for love. This site aint no dating services. I am getting tired of looking into this boring thread where they are looking for love. Possibly spam. Sigh!!!
 
yeah I agree with you! Someone read my profile and send aim to me....I asked this guy how did he know my screenname...he said from AD...

Its getting annoys me too...I undy how you feel...

I second w/you agreed more... AD isn't dating on line!
 
It is a social forum, so that kind of activity can happen in small quantities. In countless other forums worldwide, people have met other people, fell in love, got married, etc. The AD forums are no different, being suspectible to this phenomenon, where members do privately message each other, and things could happen. :)

Comes with the territory, really. Now, if some lady (or two!) could drop me a private message and make my day! :)
 
I agree.... If someone is interested in someone, they oughta PM soon as they know eachother and they become friends, and see where the flow goes. I don't look for boyfriend here, just to socialize, and make friends. If anyone here from AD wants to date me, need to get to know me well before things go far. As for right now I am not interested in dating anyone because of busy life. See some members met here, and got to know eachother well then some of them wind up together.

I agree with Eyeth as this is a social forum. Everyone meet online here then in person and can lead to relationships then marriage then babies! lol..

What can we do about it? nothing.. just tell whoever in pm that you are not interested in dating.. ? instead of complaining about it in here? JMO

I am not looking for love either as I already have a fiance. :) I am here to chat and make new friends or find old friends... :D

Yep I agree! Some of the ADers got together because of through friendship.. that's how it happened.. not by adversiting! :)

Yeah, I don't mind if someone who's a longtime lurker AIMs me, or if a regular AIMs me.......but I've had a few incidents where someone IMs me, and they KNOW NOTHING about me! Like if someone's interested in deaf related issues, I'm OK with that.....but if someone just totallay randomly IMs me I just wanna be like "Why don't you go hide in ur parents' basement?"
 
i know i hate when someone look for love i got those twice in pm sheesh

i not looking for love in internet NO WAYS only i do in REAL world
 
yeah I agree with u guys AD isn't even for dating site.. some people probably think it will work thru this site but nahh.. I'm glad i gave up on looking for internet relationship and all cuz I had moved on and I found some1 who I like so much :D soo.. just keep your chin to people who tries to look for something thru internet u never know if u like some1 that may live near u :whistle:

I agree, I think it's important to get to know someone first before running to find love on the message board first-hand, It wouldn't go far. That's just my opinion. ;)

AllDeaf is more of a social messengerboard with alots of interesting new things to learn everyday. I am sure there is love to be found on AllDeaf but really this isn't a dating messengerboard. I am sure there are many dating services out there and I saw one that looked good.

deafmatchinternational is not the only dating service for deaf people.. there are other dating services as well like deafsinglesconnection and deafmatch.net.

deafmatch.net is where i met starrygaze online 3 yrs ago. not all do succeed. but some do. it takes time to find someone and learn about someone..dont rush but take time to know one real well before you meet in person.. thats what we did. if you dont look for love- it will come to you! like me.. i was beginning to think i will never find love..with starrygaze.. i talked to him for 3 yrs and never think i will meet him.. but finally last year when i needed help and starrygaze came to my aid.. God sent him to me.. and rest is history.. :D
