This is a poll on which you preferred AllDeaf background to be default or dark?

Default, white background
Dark - Black background

Why?

I choose dark background because it is easier on my eyes and to read better than white background.

You can find this setting on the bottom of the page. :)

White, but for the same reason as you. The white is easy for me to see.

I prefer white background with black text...it's easier for me to read. The black background with white text can get tiresome after a while.

I use white because I have vision problems and it is easier for me to see.

As a Deaf-blind, I prefer black text on white background. However if the forum switch over, I will just end up reverting the colour for this forum via ZoomText. Some blind folks PREFER white text on black background, some prefer alternative colour like yellow background, but most of us have the technology to change our computer preference to our needs.

Really., if there is a new theme, it should be selectable via the Profile option page where you can change your forum settings.

I prefer to use the Dark Skin (Black Background) like many says for their own preference, as it is easier on the eyes.

Also, I like the black color as well. :)

I use default: the one with white background. As I find it is a lot easier on my eyes to read AD. :)

This what Dark theme look like on AD.

Thank you! :ty: Nathan!! :)

Oh I see... Umm Don't matter but 80 % to white and 20 % to Black....

I think, A Good idea that black background during October! :giggle:

I don't care much for which scheme to use. I sometimes alternate between the two just because I feel like it.

It does get a bit annoying when some members feel that they have to change the color of their own fonts every single time they post. When they do that in the light scheme, it appears fine... but becomes bothersome for those using the dark scheme. Some members use dark blue, dark green, or dark red for their posts. When those posts show up in black, that's like black on black... and people can't read that. :(

I'm pretty much the same as VamPyroX. Also, when people use a yellow font and their dark background but it's hard to read on a lighter background.

Mine is currently just the default - white. I always have multiple tabs open and switch back and forth all the time and most of those have lighter backgrounds. I have developed problems with my left eye so it takes longer to adjust to changes than my right one so I just keep all my backgrounds about the same, if I can even change them.

Yeah, that's what I try to encourage others to do... leave it at the default setting.

I don't care if they change the style, type, or size... as long as the leave the color alone. That way, all changes will appear the same in both colors. :)

White works for me. Fire Fox has an app called No Squint. It helps a lot if you are nearsighted. I was glad to find it!
