These People Found an Abandoned Baby Fox and Did Something Incredibly Kind (VIDEO)


YouTube user Beau Ouimette was out walking with his wife when they came across what appeared to be a wounded baby fox. The small kit was all alone and stumbled around lethargically, leading the pair to believe that this small creature needed help. As a trained veterinarian, Ouimette’s wife was prepared to aid in the rescue of the fox. Dealing with wild, injured animals can be very dangerous due to the threat of rabies, however, both Beau and his wife had been vaccinated so they could approach the small fox.

The Ouimettes were equipped to care for the kit and help her to regain her strength before they arranged to transfer her to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center. Now this kit is well on her way to full recovery and will hopefully be released back into the wild soon

Such a cute baby fox.

I did not understand why a veterinarian would say "kill it or let it die." There's something fishy about that IMO. I would think no vet would just "let it die." They'd euthanize it for humane reasons if it came to that, and not just let it die on its own. (Sounds like fox is doing ok now.)
