It's nice to hear about the success stories. For my son the CI was not successful.
 
How come it was not successful? I know it can not be successful at times but this is in the minority. Some people experience facial nerve stimulation rather than audiotory I think

It's hard to say exactly but may be due to severe ossification. Also I don't know if its a minority that is not successful. I have always had a problem with the numbers and how they are derived.
