interesting.....

its hard to really fault the guy if truly he is only following the rules.

if that's what they state, then they should be followed (that was the drone about rules all my life, granted i ignored them)...

i guess the best option is to change the rules so the next slaughter (which will be soon enough) the flag could be lowered..

then again...
i just have a hard time believing this cold hearted stance is really about the rules...

get a heart and lower the flags!!!!

Thanks to God, I don't live in Baldwin County.

Flag code as per http://www.usflag.org/uscode36.html#173

...In the event of the death of other officials or foreign dignitaries, the flag is to be displayed at half-staff according to Presidential instructions or orders, or in accordance with recognized customs or practices not inconsistent with law. ...

yep
so look like they have the rules on their side...

Inconsistent with the flag code so I guess its at the whim of the President or Governor.....when southern churches were set on fire and pastors died, I don't recall flags at half mast for them....most mass shootings in recent history did not have the flags at half staff that I remember........
