Were you:

The Jock?
The Princess?
The Nerd?
The Basket Case (pc term the "outsider")?
The Rebel?

I myself, was closer to being the basket case, although not so extreme.:giggle: I had a small group of friends and all of us hated eating in the cafeteria with everyone else. We'd sneak food in the library and talk about silly things. We were too nice to be rebellious but too self-aware to run with the cool kids.

So who were you? :hmm:

half nerd, half rebel and a bit of jock (only after-school sports).

I had a few groups to eat with depending on what I was in mood for. If there's important thing for me to study/learn/help... i eat with the nerd group (not the pimply, socially-awkward type). If I want to talk about something adventurous or anything general like girls, gossips, etc. - I go with my usual group which is the rebel type. I said a bit of jock because we were a hockey/basketball/football group (but not official school sport). If i want to have a nice quiet time... I usually eat quick and go to library or a certain spot where this group hangs out - they were the one who were considered socially-awkward but very talented in what they're doing - arts, literature, etc...

ah... good time....

I was a rebel/troublemaker.

I would "TP" the cars, especially the principal's car. 2002 Camaro, Red. I also used to tease the P.E. Teacher until he actually cuss and kick me out of the gym. I wasn't in groups because I was too much of rebel and I cause too much trouble. No one wanted to be involved with me since I have the staffs' eyes on me everyday. It didn't stop me from stealing sodas from teh broken machine that's been giving free sodas. (I beat the crap out of that machine.) Ahh High school, it was fun until a girl grabbed my attention, I stopped all the rebellious action and turned into a gentlemen, but then that girl was only 17 and I was 18, an older guy, 24, asked her to marry right after I asked her out on a date. What timing that was. But no regrets.

The basket case crowd:giggle::P

did they get married?

BTW - I'm not sure what's the "Basket Case" you're talking about because technically - it means you're too emotional, overly-sensitive, etc... always crying, full of drama. Is that what you mean?

Hmmm...good question. I don't think that's exactly what i meant cuz I don't fit that description at all. I just considered myself to be different than the majority of the kids in school. Not that i didn't fit in but i just considered so many of them to be complete fakes that i just couldn't be bothered hanging with them. Perhaps i just should have siad "outsider" and left it at that.

ah-ha.. that's what I thought so. "Basket Case" has a negative connotation - typically for drama queen. ha ha ha. I'm trying to remember an appropriate word for what you're describing.... something that's not part of clique crowd. :hmm:

I guess.... just "normal group" lol. somebody helps us out in here to find the right term for what society's child is describing!

Jocks...I competed in sports on the state level especially softball so I hung out with other athletics. :)

im 1/4 nerd, 1/4 popular, 1/4 troublemaker, and 1/4 jock

nerd- school
popular- everyone knows me and always hang out together before school, lunchtime, after school
troublemaker- will do anything to get attention and scold at me, think its funny.
jock- i play sports and hang out with athletes [kinda as popular group, really]

Nerd - I was very focused on my school work, and had good grades.
Popular - I got on well with everyone.
Troublemaker - I did hilarious stuff that would get me into trouble.
Jock - I was sports mad, and would do every sport that was offered at school.

Jocks- was involved in volleyball and softball.. pretty much known as "the Pete Rose of softball" Hung out mostly with the athletes and deaf friends

I hung out with the popular group as well as the nerds. The nerds were in several of my honors classes as well as the school newspaper staff and Forensics team (I was a member of the school newspaper staff and Forensics team for 4 straight years). The popular group were those I saw in the hallway or sat with during lunch in the school cafeteria. I was never into sports -- although my PE teacher tried to convince me to join the track team because he thought I was a good runner. As for troublemakers, there was only one friend of mine who fit this description. Whenever she and I were together, we caused all kinds of trouble. Ahh, high school. Those were the days! :)

i am nerd in college because i hit library more than i have been hit in hs.

I barely hang out with my several close friends only at the breakfast cafe because I rarely stayed overnight at the girl dorm for one or two days. Besides, my several close friends are a dorm student, so...

But, as for breakfast club at outside of my former school, I tend to go with a Deaf Youth Life group weekly. I just prefered to go to there, not at the cafe.
