Airports face chaos after America bans UNCHARGED mobiles or laptops from US-bound flights over bomb fears - with iPhones and Galaxies top of the hit list
Airports facing chaos after US declares it wont allow uncharged cellphones or laptops onto flights bound for America... with iPhones and Galaxy's at top of the hit list | Mail Online

What you thought?

The article means that if your phone will not turn on... you're not allowed to pass the security checkpoint. If your phone is turn on and working, you're allowed to pass. They're checking to make sure the phone is not a bomb.

Plus, it's for people flying TO the USA. Not for domestic flights (yet).

If it turns on you can bring it with you, if it's not charged and won't turn on you won't be allowed to take it on the plane. So just make sure it's fully charged and you won't have a problem.

Again this is only on flights from other countries TO the US. There isn't anything in effect like this if you fly IN the US. Yet, as someone upthread said...

Yeah, terrorists can always find loopholes to figure out. All we can do is be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities.

I heard on the news that terrorists could made clothes that are a bomb , the bomb is made right into the fabric .

If your device won't turn on or dead battery, you won't get on that plane.

Pretty soon we'll start getting airline-issued pajamas that come after security checkpoints, so leave your best thrifts and everything else at home. just kidding.

I still remember the days of the 80's (when I flew for the first time) when they didn't even so much as look at you. We could even go to a gate without a ticket. Times sure have changed.

Yes, same with 90s too.

Yes, it all changed after 9-11-2001

I remember waiting for family members right at gate when they arrive. While waiting, I would stand at window watching airplanes land and take off. Even moving around following some of airplanes.

Sad time to not even be able to do that anymore.

I watched at airport's window when I was little boy, but not anymore. :(

I'm agreed! I would charged my iPhone,iPad and computer before in plane!
