Airline gets slammed from refusal to hang up military jacket

I saw the interview on TV with one of the First Class passengers. He said that the flight attendant was way out of line with the soldier.

Yes. I didn't agree with how he was treated, and he deserved better than that.

I guess the stewardess had learned what to expected from policy and rules in running the airplane serving to passengers. So if she can break the rule and respect to the soldier in honoring him by hanging up his military jacket so that it does not get wrinkle. Then all will be well. She had to make up her mind about the policy and rules. That is hard decision for her to make. That is why she got upset or angry that she had to make the decision on the policy. :(

If it wasn't for the First Sgt. service the stewardess may not had a job in the first place . One coat was not going to harm anything.

The article said it wasn't a rule.

But other people reported that it was NOT the airline policy. :dunno:

Also, when other people offered their space in the closet or their seats, she refused to accept their offers.

Last week when TCS flew round trip to San Diego (four planes), each time the flight attendant got on the speaker and mentioned that there were active duty military on board if anyone wanted to voluntarily give them their First Class seats. Each time, someone did. It was no big deal or drama. (It was another airline.)
