:wtf: ???

I was going through my normal routine on AD, checking my favorite forums and threads when I come across an advertising banner.

The advertising banner was located under the thread 'The Closet' in the Relationship forum.

The banner read: "Is AIDS a GAY DISEASE?"

:wtf:

Do AD administrators have any control over the banners that are posted in AD? Are AD administrators trying to throw all deafies back to pre-AIDS era and blame the Gay-Lesbian community for the AIDS epidemic?

It's disgusting and needs to be removed.

:bump:

Thread moved here--

As for the advertisements, Google 'adwords' comes to mind, however, you can get a precise answer from the administrator himself. ;)

Those advertising banners are Ads from Google. If you read at the bottom of those Ads you'll see where it says "Ads by Google"

I have no control over these ads, Google does.

Those sticky thread ads were created for AD's sponsors, which I can control, yes, but not those ads by Google.

Thanks for the explanation.

Luckily I haven't seen that advertisement since then. :fingersx:
