Adults 'scared to go near kids'

Adult: Hi kid
Police: Freeze! You're under arrest, you pedo!
Adult: What?!?

I don't think the law is too extreme. The figure of 20000 unsuitable people who were weeded out and did not get a chance to work with vulnerable people is a good thing in my opinion. Better to err on the side of caution.

So if there's a child running across the street or is in the middle of the street and a car is coming down, that means I cannot try to save a child by grabbing him/her?...

I think it's a bit of extreme... I meant, what's about childfree people (not child-haters)? I just wonder...

good point, and often well more so in future they are the ones responsible from abstaining from procreation as opposed to some dumb breeders.

I bet law in UK is too extreme.

I don't know why people aren't making a big issue out of this. I guess they're fine being sheep. BBBBBAAAAAAAAAA BBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAA. UK has cameras on virtually every block, banned guns, banned a lot of shits, etc - it's probably the best real example of The Orwellian Society.

if that ever happened in USA - oye oye I can tell you that we Americans are not going to make it pretty for our government.

Reminds me of V for Vendetta.

I deal with children everyday while I deliver mails, yes sometime I was afraid of them when they get too close to my vehicle. Other day a young teenage boy made decision to ride on bike right next to my vehicle and I yelled him not to close cuz never knew of accident. He laughed and rode way. Those things sometime put me alert more around kids than adults.

What do you think of this article?

Do you think child protection law is too extreme?

we're clearly going off-topic. I do think Child Protection Law is extreme and unnecessary. It's clearly a sign of erosion of common sense and the "good ole" time back in 80's. I think I can blame tv for "sexifying" our youths. These days - I can't tell if the girl is under 18 or a college girl with the clothes and make-up she's wearing.

The sitcom shows targeted for teens need to curb its sex-related stuff. They need to demonstrate more on solving issues and family - not dramatizing everything and making a huge deal out of bf-gf relationships. I hardly watch tv - probably just 1-2 hours a week (I have to watch Hell's Kitchen) but sometimes when I'm really bored out of my mind, I watched some shows and wow... I cannot believe what I was seeing. It was totally different from my time where it was all about Family Matters, Saved by the Bells, etc. Because of these trashy shows nowaday... I think I will be a dictator when I have children. I'd either enforce something like 1-hr a day or not get a premium cable package.

It's just more government intrusion; that's why I've always hated the phrase, perhaps coined by Hillary Clinton: "It takes a village....."---I saw a sinister message there while others chose to see something positive....it's your choice.....

^ Yeah, I remember those words " It takes a village ..." by Hillary Clinton.

I don't vote for Hillary Clinton. She can not be trust, no matter how sounds she tries to be true to any American citizen. Just forget her.
