Hi FDA, are you okay? LOL!!!
Hi FDA, are you okay? LOL!!!
This is how dangerous drug law is, the more restriction, the more work around which often gets more dangerous than if were not for the law. Precisely why we need to leave patient and doctor relationship alone and legalize outright Marijuana!
Mind you, NO ONE ever died directly by Marijuana, yet plenty of people died from legal narcotics known as opiates. It really does not make any sense with Drug law other than promoting whoever need the relief finding way around the system thus end up dead.
Whats the problem allowing patients who prefers Marijuana which has no known overdose death over narcotics with potential overdose death risks?
But would legalization really stop this from happening? I have looked for resources for when these things were legal but the times are so different and different things are now available. If we legalized everything or just cannabis do you think that people would stop looking for alternatives?
Granted the under age group will still try or will obtain from those of age much like what is done with beer and cigarettes... but overall is what I am asking...

Legalize weeds has huge advantage, you see, probibitation actually preventing researching into finding the truth and benefits of Cannabis to begin with, hence why there isn't much positive information out there out of government fear that they were proven wrong.
Alcohol abuses were hellish back before the prohibition kicks in. You won't believe how many unimaginable incidents occurred back then. People once thought it is OK to drink for ANY reasons, and the water in some community was so dirty that alcoholic beverage were recommended to prevent sickness from drinking dirty water, many mothers were beaten up by drunks who drinks way too much at work or wherever they are. Yes drinking on job was perfect legal, There was no alcohol control to begin with and the first thought of solution to the problem was to PROHIBIT alcohol, in the beginning it "Seems" to be working, but that does not last long and that is where black market kicks in, those who manufacturing alcoholic beverage does NOT give a damn about health and safety, they could brew it wrong and sell to unfortunately alcoholic that would drink and get blind, or killed. Now we know the truth, if we drink a glass of wine each night, we would live longer. Anyway, as soon as after alcoholic beverage became legal once again with control, its much better, less people get killed from bad brew, prevents kids from obtaining alcohol, more people get educated over time about alcohol, back then DWI was disasterous, now it is better because now society is less acceptable to DWI.
Now back to the point, you may not be aware that researching on cannabis used to be highly prohibited, only allowed ultra restricted research with minimal access to the information, that was written in law until recently, that is why Cannabis was never given chance to prove its viable benefits, back then before the prohibition of cannabis no one knew it (Cannabis) has hundreds of chemical components (Need to separate them for specific medical purpose), and thought it was to be a dangerous drug just like tomatoes (Are you aware tomatoes was once thought to be a deadly poison?). Now more, and more evidence mounting up for people with elipsey (Sorry for misspelling). which shows that Cannabis DOES have medical value in it, having cannabis in Schedule 1 which states they don't have medical value in it which is not true and shouldn't be there in the first place.
You see, Cannabis is still illegal meaning everyone is prohibit on trying Cannabis for their health issue ESPECIALLY when it comes to severe pain, and other serious medical condition. Because of this, they are more likely trying to abuse legal, easily obtained though doctor that has potential of being deadly.... allowing deadly drug available to patients with severe pain and at same time banned drug that could have help with zero chances of overdose death?
I have severe spine injury (Top and bottom), and I have been using both legal and illegal drugs, nobody is stopping me no matter how hard they would try. It is the pain that is my true motivator for searching relievers for my spine pain, hence why I clearly understood why it is dangerous and stupid law prohibit drugs. You see, I saw the control, and I have the desire to feel better which feeds my desire working around and beat the system, its vicious cycle and it won't stop me, and I know it won't stop the rest of others who are though what I have dealing with. My personal number ONE preference drug when it comes to pain management is CANNABIS, period! Yes, over legal Opiates that I have been getting from doctor in the last 6 years. The problem I am having with Cannabis is, it is difficult to find reliable source here for specific pain that I needed, black market sellers don't care, and they won't tell you upfront comparing if going to reputable legal cannabis provider who would be required to inform what is in it and what it is used for just like prescription drug you get from pharmacy... See the difference between legal and illegal drug, eh?
Now after attended DGM-NY capitol rally in Albany recently... I wish I could stay there all day but that damn city is the WORST city I ever visited, it was disaster for me. I felt so creepy with Government in Albany, they seems giving me the message "Go away!", plus NYS have not really legalize medical cannabis... Now I am asking myself, whether I should continue living in NYS or just Fawk NYS and move to Colorado, I could be more happier over there for all I might know. This could happen, BUT I am having big barrier, that is my boys, I don't want disrupt my boys education especially oldest one. My oldest son wants go RIT and I would love see him graduate at RIT. At this time I just don't know and have the intention visit Colorado and temporarily living there by boondocking with my camper and see for myself.
Jezie, to answer your question directly, it (Legalize weeds, and potential coca) will not stop from overdose deaths with opiates entirely, however it will most definitely going to reduce overdose deaths significantly.
Most of this I did know the rest I agree with, but what I was asking was if cannabis was legalized do you think people would stop seeking alternatives? In a way you did answer this, when you brought up the poor standards of alcohol during prohibition. Many people prior would seek alcohol multiple ways even though other drugs were available. You also bring to the fore why I support legalization across the board; even though I have never done a drug not percribed to me...
I believe there are too many benefits to them to keep restricting them. People are going to do whatever they want, laws or no laws, by restricting them they not only endanger people by providing false information but increases suffering by forcing other medications.
You like cannabis for your pain, compare it to any other percribed medicine they give you and look at the side effects. They are mind boggling. ...
Colorado is an awesome state, I lived there for awhile, but once my daughter passed I had to leave. Would encourage anyone to go and visit, not for the weed, but for the state itself... rolling one is just an added plus
I see where your looking at, well there is no such thing as one size fits all, good chances are Cannabis won't benefit everyone. It depends on one's body, not all respond the same. You see, I couldn't image myself drinking booze, it gets me sick quicker, one glass of wine would be fine for me, I have seen those who drink booze as if they are water and they done just fine.
What I am saying is I believe education is one of most powerful and best solution to drug problem over strictly controlling system with bunch of red tapes.
