It's been a while since AllDeaf last had an official contest for its members. The last one was a logo contest, and the winner was Shao who is still a member here. Knowing that there are not many Deaf graphic designers on this site, I thought I'd be fair with everyone and create two contests so all ADers can have a chance to participate.

Contest #1 - Essay/Poem: Basically, describe AllDeaf.com and how it affected you since you first discovered it. The amount of words you put in your essay/poem does not matter, as long as it is clean and creative. The winner will receive a 50mb space/2000mb bandwidth plus domain name web account hosted by Lexserv.net.*

Contest #2 - Group/Solo Picture: Pose your best and creative AllDeaf group or solo picture! This is probably the easiest and most fun thing to do. To get some ideas, please visit our AllDeaf Gallery. The winner will receive a 50mb space/2000mb bandwidth plus domain name web account hosted by Lexserv.net.*

The contests' deadline is one month from now - June 20th - and the winners will be determined by the ADers. After the contest, the winners will get their 15 minutes of fame, and the best essay/poem and group/solo picture will be posted somewhere on AllDeaf so everyone can see.

D decication to meeting new poeple enthralls the community of its heart and soul just by clicking on ALLDEAF's page seeing new threads after threads...

E everyone's hearts can be poured into one website without being flamed by another person's soul.

A AllDeaf shows us we can gather together and celebrate our pride and mind.

F Friends near and far and gobal wide go above and beyond to meet the poeple who are strangers yet they are not.

there are thousands of reasons why i join alldeaf, most of my friends are in this website, i also joined to get out of the immaurity of other chatroom all i want is peace and to be able to learn and have good debates without hating one another, I supported this website and have heard alot of postive things about this website. I may not win this webhosting but i can tell you this, who ever wins is always someone's good friend, and to cheer them on is to say your not a sore loser, Love is all about diversity, gays lesbains, bi, straight, transgenders and old new young and all race that joined this website has shown us we can be together as united as one, but never have we divided to fall... Thank god for ALL DEAF, this website has given me a better movivation and decidation to be a part of this website! Thanks to Alex for his creativity and his mind and sound and body to show us there can be peace within this internet community!
 
i know this stupid question on the earth i ask you, how could i join this hottie competitive??
 
Ckfarbes.. this is a good question that you could ask.... There are a couple of contests here. Like you can write an essay about ALLDEAF... or create a POEM about alldeaf.

Also, you can take a picture of solo or group of alldeaf.

There's deadline within a month from now. :P

Alone In The Room
No Deafies
Only Hearing.
Struggles to understand.
Gave up trying.
Losing myself.
Going Insane.
Saw a person talking about Deaf site.
Checked out.
Decide to join.
Realized this is for me.
My world.
World finally pours in.
Saw no insulting anywhere
but jokes.
Bright the days daily.
Waking up another day
VERY excited to come back without a second wait.
Jump back in
And pour myself in again.
 
The Reason I join would be because I was struggling with hearing people around me. Seeing hearing people EVERYWHERE and feel like I was only deaf around. But I still knew about school and another places. I cant get around with my daughter, 4 months old and no car.
I struggles and struggles everyday until Prostock19 brought up ALLDEAF.COM all the time and I finally checked out. I realized theres no fights, almost everyday and so many jokes out here. I saw almost everyone is so friendly since the world is not pertect. And dont have to go outside to meet up another people. Just staying home where I can be comfortable and just type away! And just knowing, there will be a time in the future with alot of knowledge with the person before meeting up. I am really pleased knowing I couldn't leave before because I knew if I did that, I will go back to where I was and stuggles again.

I am glad the alldeaf.com was being created by group of people who are very dedicated to this site as everyone else including myself to keep this site going. The site as I can see will bring more out of deaf people to fight with not reasonable people out there or around you. And Just knowing if you have problems or whatever, you got friends over the ALLDEAF.COM who is very willing to dedicated their time to type advices and being there for another person. So I thank this site so much since it had helped me alot. I think it did everyone else too.
 
geez.. no one is posting in this. Everyone was interested then they leaves. Mmm.. that pretty sucks. But anyway... :D GOOD LUCK ON FINDING THE WINNER! :D
 
dunno ALEX but i posted two of mine and will have to take a pic what time is the contest over on friday cuz im going into town and getting some pics with my fave locations with ALL DEAF looks :) SO u guys can post it ... :)

Alldeaf.com broken my silence
and isolation.
It breaks my depression pattern
into jolly pattern.

All to bring the laughters and their hearts to open up,
makes me feel great and open my eyes to see
the world to tell me that I am not alone.
Their hearts to listen, read, foe, woe and
love/sharing.
That we all share and understanding to others.

what AllDeaf has done for me
raised in a hearing world
filled with disdain of the deaf world
full of backstabbers and crab theater
AllDeaf has changed my view
Now I see
Deaf world a place of love and caring for one another
support each other
lots of laughs
Feel brotherhood and sisterhood
we are not deaf - we are DEAF!!!!
From being ashamed to being proud
from oral to signing
I have the best of both worlds
here I have my brothers and sisters
comes with teasing and bashing but there for you
I know I may not say it but I love you all :)
for there is happiness in my world full of silence
