Sir Christopher Lee dead at 93, according to death certificate

Sir Christopher Lee died on June 7, according to his death certificate that was posted by the U.K.’s Telegraph. He was 93.

His wife said, according to The Guardian, she waited to go public with the news of his death in order to have time to inform family members. The prolific actor was best known for his roles in huge movies like “The Hobbit,” “Lord of the Rings” and “Star Wars” franchises.

Christopher Lee Dead

He was one of my favorite "horror" movie actors of my youth.

The top dracular.i thought he died years ago

It's interesting that he died 4 days ago. They're keep it quiet until today. I bet it's smart to keep control the media from being hype over their family or something... I dunno.... How about you?

Rest in peace, he was awesome in Lord of the Rings and 007 film.

He was related to Ian Fleming and I believe his mother was titled lady so maybe his funeral would be complicated thing getting all his family together and make sure they all knew before public are told and he himself would given instructions.i believe he wanted be known as fine actor which he was and not as dracular.I remember interview he said something to that

Lee holds a Guinness record as the tallest leading man in history.

Who knows... I'm not sure if his wife was thinking "media" but more to do with wanting privacy and allowing only family members to know before the media circus come around like vultures.

I applaud her for waiting- wish that would happen more with famous people in general- I don't need to know who died immediately after aside from my own family or close friends.

Rest in Peace Sir Lee- I'm terrible at remembering who was in what but do know that you were one of the best Draculas there was.

He played in so many movies. I remember watching him in B/W movies when I was a kid. He always scared me. LOL

BTW, he must be honored with the Oscar since he was a very well-known actor. He gave us the enjoyment to watch the movies.

RIP, Sir Christoper Lee.

No. He was 6'5". They did the opposite of putting him on a box many times.

James Cromwell is taller, but not a leading man.

I saw this documentary of tallest man in the world he was Chinese he had tough life
As a kid we snuck into cinimar to see hammer house horrors they were x rated kids not allowed..Lee insisted no horror was shown only that which came from imagination and no sex again only what Bram Stoker implied and be honest Dracular sexy fellow BUT implist sex he was against..

I think you may be right about this , the family may not wanted the funeral to be turned into a circus by the news media.

Bot I read it wrong yes he was tallest actor apart from jaws in Bond films..
I got prism glasses on I only see parts of things not reading post properly

May Sir Christopher Lee walked a long journey to his Golden Gate and rest in peace. :(

I remembered him in his many films of both black and white films and color films. He was a good actor. I don't remember him singing in opera but probably played Shakespeare roles in Shakespeare Theatre. :dunno:
