Yeah, I think the same thing as you do. 
If there is something is wrong with Abstinence, in my opinion, they should go back off and look at the picture to see what's wrong. And then, to improve Abstinence better. If you think Abstinence never work well, what the best thing to sovle a problem for that? Me curious.
