1. Do you carry a book or books when you go places?

How many of you carries a book or books with you whenever you go places?

For example, I may take a trip to mall. I would bring a book with me. I figure that maybe I would have a lunch and read book. I ended up not reading the book.

2. Do you do something interesting while reading a book?

For example, it's common to read book while resting on couch. That is boring. I want something interesting. For example, I read book while riding a stationary bike.

3. With books you read, do you ever finish them? Do you read various books at one time and finish them? Or read and never finish them?

I cannot remember the last time I finished a book. I used to finish a lot of books many years ago. I've not for a long time. Do you remember the last book you finished? What was it?

I don't really go places anymore but TCS always keeps a book in his work van. If he has time between jobs he parks somewhere and reads. He finishes a lot of books that way.

I often bring a book whenever I pick up my sons. I usually end up waiting so reading in the car is the best time to read for me.

I would love to read before bedtime but I'm finding out that I'm too tired and my eyes are tired by the end of the day that I can't read too well.

I love to read but haven't read whole books a lot recently. I used to ride the exercise bike and read a book.
When my hub was taking the bus to work some years ago and we lived in a different area, he sometimes took a book with him to read on the bus.

I only bring a book with me if I know I'm going to be waiting for awhile. I'm not always in the middle of reading a book.......hmmmm I used to be, I've been reading a lot less lately, anyway if I'm reading a book I'll bring it with me to work to read on breaks or if I slow day and not booked with a lot of massages.

If it's fiction yes I will finish. Always, even it's a horrible book I will read it to the bitter end, and maybe toss it at a wall when I'm done ;) kidding about that. If it's nonfiction I might not. Like I have The Secret in my kindle, I haven't finished it, it's too boring. Right now I'm reading The Heart of Buddhas Teaching and The Conplete Idiots Guide To Eating Paleo. I bought both 2 weeks ago and will read a bit here and there. I believe I will finish both :) well the reading part if the Paleo book, it also has a shit ton of recipes (the real reason I bought it)

I always have my iPad mini with me, so my books travel right along. And I really just sit there without doing anything else when reading.

Some books I don't finish if they are too boring. The last one I finished was Innocence, by Dean Koontz.

I tend to bring my kindle with me wherever I go. I leave it in my diaper bag. If I am waiting for a long period of time, I will have it to read. If I am reading a paper book, I will usually carry that with me as well, so I can read that. My reading is limited, though, since my children think MY kindle is for them to watch movies and play games.

2. Do you do something interesting while reading a book?

I tend to read while my children are watching their movies. They tend to watch the same educational videos over and over, (in the same few weeks, not the same day, although they would if I let them) and I am really sick of learning to read and count, so I read my books while they are doing their videos.

3. With books you read, do you ever finish them? Do you read various books at one time and finish them? Or read and never finish them?

It depends on the book. In general, yes, I finish the book. There are a few books I am "currently" reading. I started reading "A Christmas Carol" in December, but never finished it. I think I will wait until next year to finish it. I have been reading "Les Miserables" for about 2 years. That one is hard to read, because of the French and the formatting on my kindle. There are a few others I just gave up on completely. I read books from "The Wizard of Oz" (I'm on the third or fourth one right now) when I think of it. But, simultaneously, I will read modern fiction books and non-fiction books (those I may skim and only read sections that apply to me).

I also find I have phases. I have periods of time where all I want to do is read and other long stretches of time when I have no interest in reading at all.

I read two of three books a week. I do carry them around cuz usually at doctor appointments you have to be waiting there forever. And i always finish books
Even if they are super lame. Except "little women" cuz i was like 1/4 of way on book and then i was watching "friends" and they spoiled the book for me. I got so frustrated that i havent gotten to finishing it...i should..

One of my favorite all time books was Robinson Crusoe. That book I'd love to read again, just to relieve my childhood. I loved that book.

If I travel, I usually like to bring books with me so I can read if I have some free time. But not when I'm at home go out and around in town.

I read some of Robinson Crusoe too when I was a kid. I had so many favorite books. Mostly animal stories though.
Today woulda been a good day to take a book while I waited for my dental appt.

In high school I had the time to really get into the stuff by Dean Koontz, those were really some of my favorites then. That and Stephan King.

Now I have mostly dog and dog behavioral books, and a lot of sociological-related things on themes - Native authors, historical accounts and other stuff.

I typically just go to work and back home...but when I have appointments, yes, I'll take a book. Takes me forever to get through one though with all the disruptions and my day, in general.

I always have at least one book with me, usually two or three. This is just because I worry about suddenly being bored with my book or stumbling across a topic I don't really want to read about at the moment, or finishing the book and not having another, so I just keep a few on hand whenever I can.

I remember two (ish) weeks ago, I couldn't get over how heavy my backpack was, and I could not figure out why. So I completely emptied out my backpack and realized I had 4 or 5 books in my backpack at once!! Oops... :P

Anyways, I'm a total book addict, and thought this was an interesting conversation, so please excuse my bumping it.

If I want to read, just go to Google Play and get something there. :P

Yes I do. I like to read books when I take my lunch breaks (usually when I am working). I do tend to sometimes take my books to other places... trips (planes, trains or cars if I am the passenger and it is a long trip). Haven't really taken books to appointments though...

2. Do you do something interesting while reading a book?
I would do that when I lived in SC lol... take my book and my iPod/Zen to the exercise room and ride the recumbent stationary bike :)

3. With books you read, do you ever finish them? Do you read various books at one time and finish them? Or read and never finish them?
depends.. I do try to finish books.. but I know there's a couple I haven't finished yet lol. I think I do have a couple of unfinished books but I try to stay with the same book until I'm done with it. There's been a few books I never finished for one reason or another (mostly because it didn't grab my interest.

I don't do googleplay or any other places because it is a challenge to find free books that will grab my interest so have not really tried it just yet. I might eventually once/if I ever start working again. Problem is the books I do want to read always cost money (by familiar authors that I follow).

I alternate between carrying a book or three, and not carrying any books. It really depends on whether or not I have one to read. That being said, I'll read pretty much anywhere. My bed, my desk, couch, table, on the tram to school, in the coffee shop waiting for class, on my roommate's floor, in the classroom during brakes, and pretty much anywhere else if I have time.

The last book I finished was Heroes of Olympus book 1. I powered through the whole Percy Jackson series in a matter of days, then The Lost Hero (HoO book 1), and now I'm halfway through Ender's Game. Again.

I love reading....I just wish I didn't have to devote so much of my time to homework.
