Sorry guys if it's gross you out.

I wonder what average for women to having their period again after birthing babies?

Since, I didn't have my period yet since. I wonder if it's normal plus for your information, I'm still breastfeeding my daughter..

So thanks.

Good question... even though I'm not a woman. I remember vaguely about this issue somewhere... something about wet nurse in 3rd world country. I read that as long as the mother is lactating, she does not get her period yet. so I suppose you won't get your period for a few-to-several months later. The wet nurse lactates longer than normal mom because of chemical response in body when the baby was sucking on nipple which prolongs the lactation.

I thought that was interesting... but I have a feeling this answer is not exactly what you're looking for. sorry!

My sister in law told me she haven't got her period till she stopped breastfeeding all her 3 kids at about 18 months old. I got mine few months after birth. I wish I didn't get any cuz I hate having it!!! Even though I breastfed and I still get period on and off. oh well! You can talk to your OB/GYN about it.

Like LakeTahoe's sister, I didn't get a period until after I stopped breastfeeding. Its not unusual at all.

It varies - every woman is different. As for me, I never stopped having my period during my second pregnancy (which shocked me, and which is why I didn't find out about my pregnancy until much later). After I gave birth, my period stopped while I was breastfeeding. Once I stopped breastfeeding, it resumed. However, the cycle (and I used to have a very regular cycle) became irregular. I was put on the birth control pill to help regulate my period, but it was giving me headaches and making me feel "different." So I stopped. Now my period is irregular, but I could care less.

Yes, I haven't get period for 9 months after birth and breastfed to my baby.

You will get period soon after quit breastfeed your baby.

I do breast feds my two daughters then got periods after finish breastfeed :D

It's interesting. I will learn when I get pregnancy and have a breastfeed. :)

Right, with breastfeeding you get a period-free life but it won't be for long. :giggle:

Interesting. When I breastfeed my kids for one year, I still got my menses.

I dont remember..I was toooo tired to think in the first 2 months. :giggle:

I braest fed my two sons and in that time of lactation the mother dose not mensterate. Until mother decide to ween the baby. It is quiet normal for this to happen. So dont worry. Enjoy the time out of not haveing the headache of menstration . But beware the women that lactates is VERY fertile. And preganacy can happen if precautions arent taken. Enjoy motherhood!

MMM... now I know more about this whenever the time comes for me to have a child.

I didn't get mine until 8 months after my son was born and I wasn't even breastfeeding, (Due to my milk unable to come) but it was nice not to have AF for so long. :)

It is different for everyone. I got mine when my girls were about 11 months old, then skipped the 12th month, then get it again at 13 months. Skipped the 14th & 15th with my oldest, turns out I found out I was pregnant with my youngest when my oldest was just about to be 16 months old. With my youngest, I continued at 15 months & on. . . but only once in awhile as I am irregular.

Right now, I'm not irregular but my cycles aren't normal which makes it hard on getting pregnant since I don't ovulate at the correct time so if I am not pregnant this month, I will start on the Clomid.

I'll make a post about Clomid in just a second.
