Hello!!

Hi My name is Courtney I'm from New Jersey...I'm not deaf but I'm currently in an ITP...just looking to make some new and interesting friends
 
I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to allow me to ask them a few questions

I'm writting a paper for school, my ITP and I have four interview questions about views on interpreters from a deaf point of view:
1. How do you feel about interpreters?
2. Do you feel interpreters should be certified, why? or why not?
3. Who do you feel should be in control when an interpreter is involved?
4. What would you recommend to me as a new commer to the field?
...I know this is very foward of me I hope I don't offend anyone, I'm usually rather shy, I'm just a new commer and I want to try and become as involved as I can with the deaf community...This is my passion in life and I am so exited about meeting people and learning as much as I can!! :)
