The all knowing golden rule: "Do unto others as you'd have done unto you". I learned that whatever you do has consequences, if you lie it will eventually be found out and you will get into even worse trouble, regardless if it is just taking the last bit of toilet paper and not changing the new roll then saying it wasn't you or even as bad as lying about sleeping around and saying you haven't. Be honest, whether it hurts or not because in the end if you lie it will hurt even worse. Don't gossip, the more you gossip the more others gossip about you and it could cost you way more than you bargained for like your job your house your spouse, or even as bad as your life.
