This is true.

I was raised Catholic and dealt with my struggles about coming to terms with being gay and who I am. I was brought up knowing that it was "wrong" or "evil". In middle school I started having feelings for men and it was unbearable trying to fight my urges.

In high school I struggled with bring alone and feeling isolated, alone, and suicidal. Luckily I overcame those thoughts and I'm happily living my life. ;-)

I've noticed that you have your supporters and your haters. There are also people that are ok with you because you're their friend, but hate the rest of the gay world. I've also noticed that there are some girls that are ok with gay guys bit not lesbians and there are more than enough guys that are cool with lesbians, but hate gay guys. I went to a church last weekend that promoted that we needed to stop being "ok" with having gay friends, that the Lord doesn't like it and that we shouldn't befriend those who are. A friend clarified and said the message was that we should love all people, even if we don't like what they do.

There are many different opinions about this post and I'm sure there will be many more posts on here. I think that people will still be against it and there will still be challenges. The only thing we can do is try to bring some understanding forth so that some insight might be shed on how we gays are people too...

Thanks for reading,
