I'm glad he's OK. That's a clear surveillance picture of the suspect, so someone should recognize him.
Where did you get all that racist stuff from? The story didn't mention anything racist. Did you see the picture of the elderly man with the reporter? Did that look racist? Does it occur to you that maybe he's a nice man who doesn't get angry and spiteful? Wow! That is really unfair. Why would a 95 years old get soft after he hit him with his cane? The thief is a criminal and the old man should get angry with him. So he preferred him as white instead of the black man (just imagine if he was the black thief). I bet the old man would not be soft with the black thief. I hate that when he said that just to feel sorry for him. Good grief.
That's good.Glad that he is okay.
Totally irrelevant to this story.I had noticed some white police officers being soft on white citizens if they were doing something wrong. What about the white woman who tried to snatched the United States flag? They were soft on her but not with Black women who were mistreated and beaten by them (in other episodes showing from videos).
If he was racist he wouldn't be friendly with him.Honestly, the reporter is black and he is doing business of reporting. Of course, he was friendly with him and so was the 95 years old man.
Nothing wrong or racist about that. He's just a sweet man without a bitter nature. There are people like that. When he was being interviewed about his ability to attacked the thief with his cane (saying that he hoped that he did not hurt him that much, just a little bit) and have none of it with the thief but later in the interview, he was feeling sorry for the thief and hoping that the thief will change his behavior like he was going soft on the thief.
You have no way of knowing how that old man would have reacted or what he would have said if the attacker had been non-white. You've insulted that poor old guy for no reason. That's mean.I am comparing between the colors of who get the best treatment or not. That is why I am rolling my eyes at his last remark on the thief.

This is the most ridiculous comment I've ever heard. Please stop with the race card here. He is 95 years old veteran and elderly people is fragile and doesn't have strength to hit that hard. He was just defending himself with the cane.
There is good hearted people out there that shows compassion, no point to get angry about it. The veteran is right, the thief should be honest and get his act together.
Again stop comparing about the races, this is very unnecessary in the first place. Thank you.
