... Was supposed to have been a really big and important evening for my son...he got dressed in a suit & tie...He worked hard all year, making straight A Honor Roll...

Brought our digital camera...and as they started calling the names out for A Honor Roll....we waited and waited and waited! My son was not called, then they started calling the A-B Honor Roll awards, and after several students received theirs, they called my son up...He was looking "real confused"!

In the car going home, he said "this is totally unacceptable!"...and I agreed, and I went to his school 2 days later, and "my attitude" at the time was not too bad...(?) to find out what was going on...No one knew!...Had to come back the next day to find out it was a computer glitch they said....My son and I didn't even get an "apology" for it...so, yes, I was angry and I showed it!....I had to practically demand to see someone....finally a lady did appear and really didn't apolgize, just said...well..."I have to oversee so many students and somehow this got misplaced or something."....She said "I'll take care of it, and surely he was supposed to have gotten more awards, and to call back next week."....

Then a few days, the school mailed report cards to all parents. I opened my son's up....no report card!...Say what?..a notice saying he did not return a book....knowing my son, he is a "keeper", never loses anything!...So we went back to the school, they said I would have to pay them $25 for the book...my son explained that he did turn it in!..So another argument!!...My son offered to help a lady find the book....And they found it right in a book basket they kept behind her desk!...And to come back "tomorrow" to pick up his report card!...

Well....with a "parting shot" I said..."it's good my son will be in high school next year!...I won't have to deal with this incompetent school again."

Sorry about all of that, and that you were so disappointed. I don't blame you. I would have been disappointed if I were in your shoes, too.

But hey, congratulations to your son on his excellent school work!
