There is a remake of "Footloose"

I dont like it..I think the orginal should be left alone as it is such a classic 80s movie. Maybe it is because I am such an 80s gal that I cant stomach the thought of my 80s being remade in this century!

What do you think?

What do you think of this movie being made again?

I saw that original one sooo many times, my friends and I danced to it:lol:
knew there was a re-make coming out but haven't seen it and wasn't really planning to. Sometimes things are better left classic.

That is why I am VERY MUCH against the remake of classic movies!

me too, let hope that they DONT make remakes of the "back to the future" triology ... it's too good

also i suspect they had a lot standing fight with patrick swayze, and waited till he died to make the move...nasty...but thats just me, how i think of hollywood

in other words, they insulted him, cuz maybe they didnt like the 'fact' that he slowed down after big fame aka a kind of retirement in so saying this, it seemed like they think he owes them more work /success so they got pissed off with him (and possibly poisoned him to get cancer? crazy it might seem but we'd Never ever know cuz these things are well covered-usually..)

Omg. Too fucking many remakes. UGH. It's typically best in the first original ones than remake ones, have you noticed?

Sheesh, my friend and I recently discussed and he said let's hope they don't fucking remake of Back To The Future triology if Robert Zemeckis passes away.

Most remakes are suck BUT Some of them are good like movie from 30's to 50's do not have Subtitle/CC at all. So remakes finally come with CC/subtitles. :dunno:

Gone in 60 seconds with Nicolas Cage is worse movie ever I see. I love Gone in 60 Seconds 1974 over remake.

Funny how Hollywood tends to revive older movies by remaking them. I hear Smurfs did really well. Haven't watched it yet.

It's just lazy, rather than go to the trouble of coming up with a new idea they reuse an old one.

The Smurfs wasn't a remake. It's a live action with CGI animation in it with a different plot. The cartoons never had that kind of idea back in the 1980's.

COMPLETELY agree! I was a teen in the 80. I don't like when they decide to redo and bring back things. They did the same thing to the V-series and others. Personally, I'm old-school, and prefer things to stay the way they are or were.

I never saw Footloose, but im upset that they remade the Thundercats. They have destroyed my favorite childhood cartoon. I just hope they don't remake Jem. That will really mess me up.

We need something FRESH in Hollywood and let's face it, remakes of classic Hollywood films tend to flop big time at the box office.

Patrick Swayze wasn't in Footloose... Thats Dirty Dancing you're thinking of :)

Kevin Bacon was Footloose Star!!!
